Something bad happened to Yuri, but we're sorting it out.

It's a private matter. I don't want Yuri to talk about it either.

[And suddenly she decides text isn't good enough anymore, as her voice is now heard, desperate.]

What happened to Yuri? Please tell me!

[ His voice is steady and firm, trying to hide any signs of weakness. ]

I won't tell you anything over the network.

[ But she does deserve to know. ]

He's not hurt. He just has something of mine, and that's as much I'll tell you here.

If I met you in person, would you tell me more?

[Because she wants to know. She has to know if Yuri is really okay!]

Only if you don't spread it around any more than it already has been.

[ She deserves to know a little more, anyway. He's sticking to Rita, so if Estelle knows where Rita is she automatically knows where Tyr is now! ]

I'm staying with Rita right now, in her tent in the safe zone. [ Followed by more specific directions for getting there. ] You're still in the desert, right?

Yes, I am. I won't go into the other city unless Rita goes with me. [Because abandoning her friend is something she absolutely will not do.] I'll be there shortly.

[And that she is, as she invites herself into the tent, but doesn't do anything to even get near Tyr.]

[ Tyr has no problem meeting her at the tent's entrance and guiding her further in. Not that it's a particularly large tent; he just doesn't want her to think he's scared of her or doesn't want her there.

Because she didn't hurt him, and he knows she wouldn't have been released if she wasn't better. He's just...a little tense when he takes her hand. ]

That's what I said, too... I don't think Rita would want to leave without you, either.

[She notices that when he takes her hand, that there's some fear involved, and she doesn't blame him one bit. She can't help but remember when she found out about Yuri's vigilante acts and he had asked her if she was afraid of him. She almost wants to ask the same thing to Tyr, but this situation so different.]

I'm glad to know that. [There's an emptiness in her voice... is she scared herself? But she knows that Tyr won't hurt her either, even after what she did to him.]

...And she'll be back here soon enough, and she already knows about this... She could probably tell you almost as much as I could.

[ Which isn't completely false. She knows more than Tyr would tell Estelle. It'd probably be easier for her to be with Rita than with him.

After leading her in, he releases her hand and lets himself side to the floor. ] Anyway, sit down. It's weird to stand in a place this small.

[Estelle never asked Rita about Tyr, because if she was going to get such information, she'd rather get it from him. When gestured, she sits down, though still keeping a comfortable distance between the two of them.]

I suppose I could ask Rita, but it wouldn't seem right to do that.

[ A comfortable distance is fine - and preferred - by Tyr. ]

I'd rather be the one explaining it to you anyway...

The short version of...what happened is that my curse was passed onto Yuri... I couldn't make it return to me, either. A long time before you arrived here, something happened with that curse that made Yuri hate it even more than anyone else.

Rita can seal the curse, though, once we get back to the real City.

This curse, it was the one you had told me about back in November, am I correct? [She remembers that, back when Rita had left for the month. The reason why Tyr feared getting close to people. What she didn't know what that Yuri was cursed with the same thing.]

Did that curse hurt someone?

You're exactly right... For both of those.

[ He laces and unlaces his fingers anxiously. ]

It shouldn't be a risk once it's sealed, but...that doesn't change what happened before.

I hope it gets sealed, then. I wouldn't want... anyone to get hurt.

[Her own hands are clasped together on her lap as she stares down at them.]

What kind of curse is it?

One that makes people lead a lonely life.

[ As much as he wants to leave it at that...Estelle is one of the people that has a right to know. With some difficulty, he continues. ]

... The curse... It's evil. It causes people close to the bearer to die. That's part of why Yuri wants to get rid of it—and that's why Rita sealed it for me before... It's exactly the kind of curse that hurts people.

[ Like Estelle and Flynn... ]

A curse that causes people close to the bearer to die... [That did sound like a terrible curse, and a rather lonely one. It made her appreciate her own power more, even if for a while it was causing the world to slowly die. Her power could at least heal her friends and still can without harming the world.]

Is Rita going to try to seal it again?

[ Tyr always leaves out the part where he can kill his enemies with a single, low level spell. Seems like something other people would be too interested in.

He nods. ] She planned to even before Yuri received it... I lost my blastia last month.

action;

[firstaid]

[And it's something she honestly doesn't need to know, since such information would simply worry her even more.]

I hope that she's successful, and she should be. Her ability with people and the unique formula, or rather magic, they have is incredible. She's... probably the one and only person I would trust with such a task and I'm happy to hear that you do as well.

[If Rita can change the formula of a person to use their own life force for magical energy rather than the aer, then she knows something like sealing an item must be a novice skill for her.]

[ Tyr smiles a little. Something about Rita being rightfully praised by someone makes him happy. Probably because it reinforces his belief that she's amazing. ]

She's done it before. If the blastia she made before didn't turn into sand, there wouldn't be a problem.

[ Except Yuri will still have the rune. ]

Yes, she would more than likely need the aid of the blastia to control the flow of whatever element this world thrives on. I wonder if Judith could help since she could always sense the aer flow in our world.

[It's something to think about, at least. Both of them were amazing when it came to knowledge about aer, formulas, and the blastia.]

[ He gives her a confused look. He knows enough about blastia and aer not to be lost by what she's saying, but he still doesn't follow her train of thought. ]

She's not controlling aer flow with this... Not per se anyway. It's an anti-life absorption formula. It just...prevents the rune from taking life.

I'd rather you didn't mention any of this to Judith, either. I meant it when I said this is between us.

My apologies; I had temporarily forgotten.

[Her hands start to clench on to the skirt of her dress and he mulls over his words.]

So she created a formula, which is also one of her specialties. In my world, formulas were used to control the flow of aer, so the two went hand in hand. She did the same thing with me and my formula... and...

[She stops herself here. This wasn't about her, this was about Tyr and how he was going to tell him about her own struggles. Her power didn't take the life of friends... this is nothing like that.]
